- Welcome to the Royal Theatre, which first opened its doors in 1899.
- The main auditorium has seats for just over 1,200 people.
- We'll start by going onto the stage itself.
- Below the stage is a large area where scenery is stored.
- Next, we'll visit the costume department on the top floor.
- The team there makes around 500 costumes every year.
- Please be careful on the stairs, as some of them are quite steep.
- Photographs are allowed everywhere except in the dressing rooms.
- The tour ends in the theatre bar, where drinks are half price today.
